WELCOME TO POST 5518 ELK RIVER-ROGERS POST

Teamwork ~ Leadership ~ Commitment

We’ll Do Anything for Our Veterans and Community!

Elk River-Rogers VFW has taken a positive approach to serving our Nations Veterans and our local Community.  On this Web Page, we hope to tell you more about our VFW Post.

Elk River-Rogers VFW has been recognized for over eighteen (18) years as one of the Most Outstanding Community Service VFW Posts in the State of Minnesota.  We have been honored on nine (9) occasions as a National VFW Outstanding Community Service Post.  The Post has also had over 30 All-State Post Commanders, 27 of those were consecutive years and 3 All-American Post Commanders.

In 1988, VFW Post 5518 started a very ambitious Community Service Project…  The development of a 20 acre Youth Sports Complex and Community Center.  At the present time, the Veterans Memorial Youth Sports Complex is the Home of the Three Rivers Soccer (Boreal) Association, Rogers United Soccer Club and over 1,200 Youth Soccer Players.  Our Veterans Memorial Youth Sports Complex, is also the Home to a Youth Rugby Program and the Minnesota Amateur Space Association. The Complex and Community Center are gradually becoming a focus of local community gatherings and events.  Such as Annual State Rugby Tournaments, Scouting events, local Rocket Clubs, Youth Baseball and other Community Organizations.  Our VFW Post is also VERY involved with Youth Hockey.  We have been conducting Annual VFW District and State VFW Hockey Tournaments since 1990.

But, most of all, we have been a ‘Home’ to our returning Veterans, Military and their Families.  We have been here to Support Our Troops and their Families during their multiple and long deployments.  The Veterans of Foreign Wars has always been in the Community to help Veterans and the Military and will continue to do so.

Elk River – Rogers VFW Post 5518, has been serving the Elk River, Rogers, Zimmerman and Ramsey Areas since 1946.
